2018 Mid-Weed Lenten Services
Each Lenten season the Southern Lebanon County Council of Churches, which consists of Quentin United Church of Christ, Rexmont Evangelical Congregational Church along with Cornwall Manor and the Cornwall United Rocherty & Mt. Gretna United Methodist Church come together to worship God on Wednesday evenings at 7PM.
Feb. 28-Rocherty U.M.C. Rev. James Heath will speak. Topic: Where is God?
March 7-Rexmont E.C.C. Rev. Larry Richard will speak. Topic: Am I accepted?
March 14- Mt. Gretna U.M.C. Rev. Glen Esler will speak. Topic: What brings fulfillment?
March 21- Quentin U.C.C. Rev. John Smith will speak. Topic: What matters most?
March 30-Good Friday; Cornwall Manor at 1PM speaker to be determined

EASTER EGG HUNT
The annual Mount Gretna Easter Egg hunt sponsored by Mount Gretna United Methodist Church will be held this year on:
March 24, 2018 at 11:00AM
Rain Date: March 31, 2018
Location: area near the Jigger Shop
Before we can hunt the eggs, we need to prepare them....so come to this fun filled egg dying activity for the whole family!
When: March 22, 2018
Where: Mount Gretna United Methodist Church fellowship hall
Time: 7:00pm

Confirmation Classes begin March 4th with a pizza luncheon at 11:15 in the Ebenezer Room. The class will run from March 11 through May 13 and will be held during the Sunday School time on Sunday mornings.
During Confirmation students will learn more about the Christian Faith and the United Methodist Church. At the end of 12 weeks they will be invited to enter into full membership in the Church and our congregation.
If you would like to sign a child up for Confirmation classes, please contact Pastor Mike.

Gathering Place begins Wednesday, September 27 at noon!

Sunday Schools begins September 24 after the
Children's Sermon at the 10AM service.

Over the past few years our church has made it a priority to reach out to the youth of our church and community to give them a place to play games, hang out, and have fun.
Starting in September we will once again be inviting youth from our congregation and community ages 9-12 to come out on Sunday afternoons from 4:30 - 5:30 PM to come out and enjoy the fun, games, and fellowship that youth group offers.

FOOD BANK

A food bank donation is collected the 1st Sunday of each month.
The items can be placed in the front lobby of the church.
Donations benefit the Lebanon County Christian Ministries.
SUGGESTED ITEMS:
Cereal, instant mashed potatoes, canned potatoes, canned meats (12 oz. 'spam'), 5oz canned chicken, canned fruit, vegetable soup, crackers, 12-18oz jam or jelly, 18oz peanut butter, canned pasta, toilet paper/paper towels, facial tissues, personal care items, toothbrush/toothpaste, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, diapers size 4,5,6
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Do you like to sing? Do you like to read? Than worship is the place for you to volunteer your time and talents! We always have openings for new choir members and liturgists. And joining is easy: If you would like to join the choir please contact our Choir Director, Bob McCullough at 717-964-3495 or stop by one of the choir practices listed in the Sunday bulletin. If you would like to become a liturgist, and read one or more of the scriptures in a service on Sunday mornings, just contact Pastor Mike or sign-up using the Liturgist Schedule posted on the bulletin board in the lobby of the church. |
